Major news in the college football world! Linebacker Isaiah Chisom, formerly of UCLA, has officially signed with Oklahoma State through the transfer portal. This move signifies a significant shift in the landscape of college football, as players increasingly leverage the portal to find the best fit for their careers.
Chisom's journey to Oklahoma State is a testament to the evolving nature of college football. Before his stint with the Bruins, he spent two years at Oregon State, where he quickly established himself as a key player.
In his time with UCLA in 2025, Chisom showcased his skills, amassing an impressive 84 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, a pass breakup, and a quarterback hurry. It's clear he made a significant impact during his time there.
His college career didn't start overnight. During his freshman year at Oregon State in 2023, he played in five games, making one start and recording 14 tackles and 4.0 tackles for loss. The following year, Chisom truly blossomed, starting 11 out of 12 games, with 75 stops, 5.0 tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, a pass breakup, and a forced fumble. This performance earned him a move to UCLA.
Prior to college, Chisom was a three-star prospect, ranked No. 1,318 overall in the 2023 class by the Rivals Industry Rankings. He was also the No. 131 linebacker and the No. 124 player in California, hailing from Los Angeles (CA) Chaminade.
But wait, there's more! Oklahoma State's defensive additions don't stop with Chisom. Ethan Wesloski, a linebacker from North Texas, has also committed to play for Oklahoma State in 2026. This shows the Cowboys are actively building their team through strategic acquisitions.
Wesloski had a standout season as a junior, earning All-AAC second-team honors. He led his team with 104 tackles (nine for loss), 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception.
Over the past three seasons, the 6-foot-1 linebacker started in 28 of 38 games, accumulating 231 tackles (21.5 for loss), seven sacks, an interception, and three forced fumbles.
Wesloski was also a three-star prospect in the 2022 class, ranked No. 2,013 overall and No. 215 at his position by the On3 Industry Ranking.
